Help
  1. 1. How to download an image from the file server.
Make sure you are on the Hi Res site, double click on the thumbnail of the image you want. Wait for it to download so the hi res image fills the browser window. Place your mouse anywhere on the image and click the right mouse button. An option will appear “save Picture As”. select that and state where you want the image to be placed on your hard disk. Click OK.. you have downloaded the image.
  2. 2. How does the proof site work?
  3. There are two web sites side by side of all our commissioned assignments.
  4. A proof site which has all the images of the assignment in a web friendly size to help you quickly peruse your images by browser to help with your selection of images. Once you have a short list of images, you can then click on the Hi Res site and download the shortlisted images. Alternatively you can provide a list of those images to us by email, and we can colour correct and other editing and then emailing them to you.
  5. 3. What profiles are embedded in the images.
  6. All our images by default have the Adobe 1998 profile embedded in the image. This is the optimum quality for the print process and includes significantly more colours than SRGB giving much greater shadow detail and smoother transitions between colours .If you asked for the job to be done for a web site, the embedded profile with be SRGB so that the optimum colour and quality will be displayed on a web site.
  7. 4. What is the story with Copyright?
  8. In NZ, all images created by a photographer are protected by Copyright until 50 years after that photographers death. We have a policy that all images provided to our clients are covered by Copyright but are released to the client with an indefinite license to use those images in any way they choose. This effectively gives them the right to do what they like with their images. In the event they are released to a third party for commercial use, we ask that the third party publishes them with a byline. In the event that an invoice is not paid in a timely manner, for that particular assignment, the license for use of the affected images is revoked and if the images have been or are used in anyway, this becomes a breach of copyright.
  9. 5. Can I get a CD?
  10. We file all our images in a DVD library by date. So we can provide a CD at any time of your assignment.
  11. 6. Can i get prints?
  12. Like the CD’s, we can provide prints at anytime. There is a charge for the time involved in retrieving the images from our Archives and Editing them and supplying prints.
